How custom printed belly bands save on packaging
A belly band is a strip of printed card that wraps around a box and is closed with glue or a slot. It is the simplest way to brand a plain or stock box: one box design can be used all year, while the band changes for each campaign, from Ramadan to Saudi National Day to year-end. Date shops, confectioners and gifting teams in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dubai use bands to add a greeting, a contents list or the recipient's company name without reprinting boxes. Printing and finishes
- Full-colour print on both sides: logo and greeting outside, a short message or product details inside.
- Gold or silver foil on the logo, about 80 x 30 mm, often with a light emboss for a premium look. See debossing and embossing.
- Textured, pearl or kraft papers change the feel without changing the box.
A black band with gold foil on a white or kraft box is a classic Gulf gifting look. Bilingual Arabic and English text fits well across the band width.
Sizes, closures and ordering
Bands are cut to the box: the length wraps the box exactly and the width is usually 4 to 8 cm, or wider to cover most of a lid. They close with a glued overlap, a peel-and-seal strip or a tab and slot that can be reopened. Bands are flat-packed and quick to apply, so they suit large runs and short deadlines. What measurements do you need from us?
The box length, width and height, and whether the band goes around the short or long side. If you can, send a sample box. We add a small allowance so the band slides on snugly without crushing the box.
Can one box have different bands for different clients?
Yes. Digital printing makes it simple to print several band versions, for example with each client company name or each greeting, as long as the size is the same. This keeps one box stock for all.
Can the band be removed without damage?
With a tab-and-slot closure the band slides off and can be refitted. Glued bands tear to open, which works as a light tamper-evident seal for food boxes. We recommend the type in your quote.
