Why an engraved soft-touch metal pen is a reliable staff gift

An engraved soft-touch metal pen sits between a plastic giveaway and an executive pen: it has the weight and click of a metal pen, but the barrel is covered in a matt rubberised coating that feels velvety and gives a good grip. When the logo is laser-engraved, the coating is removed and the bright metal shows through, so the logo appears in clean silver.

Engraving or printing the logo

Laser engraving is the most popular finish because it never wears off and looks consistent on every colour. If the logo must appear in a specific brand colour, UV printing on the barrel is the alternative. The area is about 40 x 7 mm. Names can also be engraved one by one for personalised staff pens, which works well for new joiners in Dubai or Riyadh.

What colour does the engraving come out?

On soft-touch coated aluminium, laser engraving removes the coating and shows the metal beneath, so the logo appears in bright silver on every barrel colour. This gives a consistent look across a mixed-colour order.

Can each pen be engraved with a different name?

Yes. Individual names can be engraved alongside the logo. Send us a spreadsheet of names and we will check spelling, including Arabic names, on the proof before production starts, so every pen is correct.

Does the soft-touch coating wear off?

The rubberised finish is durable in normal office use. Over a long time, heavy handling can polish the grip area slightly, which is normal. Darker colours such as black and navy show the least wear.
