A low-cost custom printed folding carton gift box
A folding carton is the box most retail products come in: one sheet of printed board, cut and creased so it folds into shape and closes with tuck flaps at each end. For corporate gifting it is the most economical way to give every item its own branded box, which matters when you are packing hundreds of mugs, candles or small perfume bottles. Cartons arrive flat, so they take little storage space in an office in Dubai or Riyadh and are folded just before packing. Printing and finishes
Because the whole sheet is printed before cutting, every panel can carry your design:
- Full-colour print across all sides, including patterns, photos, Arabic and English text and a short message inside the lid.
- Foil stamping on the logo in gold, silver or a brand colour, often with a light emboss. See debossing and embossing.
- Spot UV gloss over the logo on a matte laminated box for a subtle raised shine.
White board gives the brightest colours. Kraft board gives a natural look but darkens light inks, so it suits one- or two-colour logos.
Sizes, inserts and ordering
Each carton is made to the size of your item, with an optional card insert to stop it moving. We prepare a dieline, a free digital mock-up and can produce a sample before the run. Frequently asked questions
Why is the minimum higher than for rigid boxes?
Folding cartons are printed in sheets and cut with a custom die, so most of the cost is in setting up. Runs usually start around 250 boxes per design, and the cost per box falls quickly as the quantity grows.
Can one carton design hold different products?
Only if the items are close in size. Each carton is cut to a specific size, so a mug and a perfume need two dielines. A shared outer design across several sizes keeps the set consistent.
Is a folding carton strong enough for shipping?
It protects the item from scratches and dust and looks good on the desk, but it is not a shipping box. For courier delivery across the GCC we pack the cartons inside plain corrugated outer cartons.
Can we print Arabic and English on the same box?
Yes. Full-colour printing has no limit on text, so many boxes carry Arabic on one face and English on the other. We check Arabic letter joining and right-to-left layout in the mock-up before printing.
