Why a seed paper bookmark is a smart low-cost insert
A plantable seed paper bookmark is a slim, inexpensive piece that fits inside a book, a notebook, a Quran gift box or a welcome kit, and it gives your brand a second life when it is planted. The paper is pressed with seeds; once the bookmark is no longer needed, it is soaked, laid on soil and kept damp, and the seeds can sprout. It is one of the lowest-cost items in our plantable seed products, and works for book launches, libraries, school reading programmes, conference packs and Ramadan gifts in Dubai, Sharjah, Riyadh, Doha and Kuwait City.
- About 5 x 18 cm; other sizes on request
- Seed paper in natural white, kraft, light green or light pink
- Optional jute or cotton string tassel
- Planting steps printed on the back
Results depend on soil, water and light, so the bookmark is described as plantable, not guaranteed to grow.
Printing your design
Full-colour digital print covers the whole bookmark, about 50 x 180 mm on each side, so you can print the logo on the front and planting steps, a quote or a Ramadan message on the back. The soft, textured paper gives a slightly muted, handmade look, so bold colours and mid-sized text work best. Arabic calligraphy prints well at a good size. A free digital mock-up shows both sides first.
Packaging and ordering
Bookmarks ship flat in bundles, or can be inserted into your books, cards or kits. Store them dry and away from sun. Seed types are chosen to suit the delivery country. The MOQ and lead time are shown on this page and confirmed in your quote. Explore more eco-friendly corporate gifts, or request a quote for seed paper bookmarks.
Frequently asked questions
Can the bookmark be a custom shape?
Yes. Rounded corners or a simple die-cut shape, such as a leaf or a lantern for Ramadan, are possible on larger orders. A custom cutter adds a set-up cost, which we include in your quote.
Can we print on both sides?
Yes. Most clients print the logo and a message on the front and planting steps on the back. Both sides are full colour, and we show the layout on the free digital mock-up.
Will the seeds damage the book pages?
No. The seeds are pressed flat into the paper and do not stain or mark pages under normal conditions. Keep books and bookmarks dry, as moisture is what activates the seeds.
